  • Classes run from one hour to two hours depending on age group.

  • They are run in small groups to ensure individual attention.

  • Classes are held in a self- contained fully insured studio.

  • Classes focus on drawing skills rather than painting techniques.

 

Being an artist for as long as I can remember, I have a real passion for art. My taste and my skills are constantly evolving and a lot of that is because of the wonderful students I have had during my career. My real love is drawing and the joy I feel when a student picks up a technique, a way of looking at things differently, figuring out shading or how to blend colour is unsurpassed.

 

My classes are very casual and my main aim is that the student enjoys what they are creating. They only draw a subject that they are interested in and I find that this keeps their attention on their work for longer. Some students finish a piece in one class, some take a whole term to complete a work. One may be working on drawing a warrior in pencil and the student next to them could be working on a pastel fairy scene. The options are endless.

What I offer is a specialised drawing class. To me observation is the keystone of art. Artists usually have a keen sense of sight. They notice things in the world around them that many people walk past such as patterns, shapes in items, by drawing the children develop a keen sense of sight. The hardest challenge that ........
